Richard J. King, Esq., is Counsel with Stewart Title Insurance Company, acting as both claims counsel for the Company and assisting in the underwriting efforts of the White Plains, New York office. Prior to joining Stewart, Mr. King spent four years with another title insurance underwriter, as well as several years in private practice, litigating real property, landlord/tenant and construction actions. In addition, he appeared on behalf of clients before planning and zoning boards. Reported decisions include Greenpoint Bank v. Wedad Nazzal, 287 A.D.2d 485, 731 N.Y.S.2d 624 (2d Dep't 2001) and Pinecrest Associates v. Smith, 762 N.Y.S.2d 758 (App. Term, 1 Dep't, 2003). Mr. King received a B.A. degree, cum laude, from the State University of New York at Albany and a J.D. degree from Pace University School of Law. Mr. King is a member of the New York State Bar Association.
