Dr. Freer has served as Chairman of the Board and as a Director of the Company. From 1975 until 1997 Dr. Freer was employed in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at Virginia Commonwealth University rising through the academic ranks to full Professor. In addition from 1988-1995 Dr. Freer was first Director and then Chair of the Biomedical Engineering Program. Freer received the Bachelor's degree in Biology/Chemistry from Marist College Poughkeepsie NY and the Doctoral degree from Columbia University in Pharmacology. Dr. Freer is the co-author of more than 150 peer reviewed journal articles and book chapters in his area of research expertise molecular pharmacology peptide receptors and is a co-inventor of 2 US patents. Dr. Freer is a former Established Investigator of the American Heart Association and a National Institutes of Health Fogarty Senior International Fellow. |
