Mr. Carter has over 30 years experience counseling clients on a broad range of legal matters. A substantial part of his practice has been in the area of tax and estate planning, probate, estate and trust administration. Mr. Carter has represented major banks and trust companies as fiduciaries of wills and trusts. He has appeared in Surrogate’s Courts and in the New York State Supreme Court on contested estate, trust and real estate matters, and has represented clients in arbitration cases. He has experience counseling clients on many different kinds of business transactions and contracts, as well as personal property, real estate and leasing issues. He has represented clients in international tax and estate planning matters. He has a number of business and personal clients and contacts in China. Mr Carter has counseled non-profit corporations and other charities, and he currently serves as a trustee of the Ferriday Fund, a private charitable foundation.
