Richard H. Wright joins AdvoCare as of May 2007 with an impressive background in direct sales, charitable and community event organization, politics and corporate entrepreneurship. Richard watched AdvoCare grow from the very beginning through his relationship with founder Charlie Ragus and later as a member of the trust committee. Now, he uses his strong belief in the power of the AdvoCare products and opportunity along with his diverse experience to lead the company into the explosive growth for which it is poised.
Previously, along with his wife, Sherry, Richard built a Diamond direct sales Distributorship and for 10 years led a 1,000-person network in 37 states and four countries. He later co-founded the Praeses Corporation, growing it to nearly 100 employees and revenues of $50 million dollars before selling it. Most recently, Richard served on the Senior Staff for a U.S. Congressman. His 25-year background in sales training is so successful that he was frequently sought after to teach and speak nationwide, sharing stages with nationally known speakers such as Zig Ziglar.
Richard has been married for 36 years to his wife and college sweetheart, Sherry. Strong believers in community service, they contribute time and leadership to over 14 charitable organizations. In 2005, they were named as the March of Dimes Citizens of the Year for Northwest Louisiana, the first time a couple was ever named for this honor. |
