Richard West is an associate in the firm’s Corporate and Securities Practice Group. Rick concentrates his practice on mergers and acquisitions and general corporate matters. He represents public companies, private companies and private equity funds in acquisitions and divestitures covering a broad range of industries.
Rick’s recent transactions include:
Representation of a publicly-held cable communications company in the acquisition of several cable systems;
Representation of the owners of a privately-held resort vacation company in their sale of the company’s businesses to two publicly-held companies involved in the resort industry;
Representation of a private equity firm in its sale of a cellular telephone company operating in the Gulf of Mexico;
Representation of a privately-held software company in its strategic acquisitions of other software companies;
Representation of a publicly-held body armor company in its acquisition of a privately-held vest manufacturer;
Representation of a newly-formed Pennsylvania nonprofit corporation in its acquisition of a special education and treatment facility.
In addition to his mergers and acquisitions practice, Rick advises clients on a broad range of general corporate and transactional matters. This includes formation and capitalization of new companies, corporate restructurings, venture capital financings, public and private securities sales and investments, and preparation and negotiation of commercial agreements.
Rick received his bachelor's degree from Yale University and his J.D. from the College of William and Mary, where he was on the Law Review. |
