Blum is chairman of AXIS Specialty U.S. Holdings, Inc., a reinsurance and insurance subsidiary of Axis Capital Holdings. Mr. Blum was a senior advisor to Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc. (MMC), a professional services firm in risk and insurance services, investment management and consulting business.
He was formerly a director of MMC, vice chairman of J&H Marsh & McLennan, Inc., as well as chairman and CEO of Guy Carpenter & Company, Inc.
Blum received his professional certificate in reinsurance with honors and his bachelor of business administration degree (cum laude) from The College of Insurance, where he was the recipient of the Charles Colby Hewitt Award and the Norman Lustig Outstanding Scholar Award.
