Five years as an intermediary and consultant, focusing on the foods industry. As a consultant, Rick successfully completed projects for H.J. Heinz, International Multifoods, The Malt-O-Meal Company, Land O’ Lakes and The Pillsbury Company.
Five years as founder and president of Crockery Foods, a start-up food concern that markets Crockery Creations® meals, the worlds first frozen dinner products for Crock-Pot® slow cookers. Crockery Creations was named the best new frozen product of 1999 in the retail food industry by Prepared Foods magazine, the authoritative source of new product innovation.
Thirteen years with Land O’ Lakes Inc., where he was a senior marketing executive with overall responsibility (including P&L) for several core business groups within the company. These included Land O Lakes Butter/spreads, the flagship brand of the company, and one of the top 10 fastest moving SKUs in the grocery store. Through his strategic and tactical direction these businesses achieved record volume and profitability.
Six years with KPMG Peat Marwick, where he was a manager. Mr. Schneider had extensive experience working as the lead auditor and manager on both large (Fortune 200) and small, entrepreneurial clients. Mr. Schneider is a CPA. Education: MBA, The University of Minnesota. |
