Richard E.B. Foster received his undergraduate degree from Gettysburg College in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania and his J.D. from the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia.After spending several years with the Legal Aid Society of Roanoke Valley, Mr. Foster has spent over 25 years representing small businesses in matters involving start-up issues, contracts, commercial litigation, employment law, and regulatory compliance. His practice includes business planning and succession, and commercial litigation. He also maintains an active practice in bankruptcy and business reorganizations, with substantial experience with distressed real estate developers and builders. Mr. Foster has been a frequent speaker at Continuing Legal Education seminars and has taught at Hollins University as an Adjunct Professor of Economics. He is a member of the Virginia State Bar, the Virginia Bar Association, and the Roanoke Bar Association.
