Richard D. Weber is of counsel to Kerr, Russell and Weber, PLC where he has practiced law for his entire legal career spanning four decades. Mr. Weber has extensive litigation experience in commercial, professional liability and surety law. He currently concentrates his practice in business law and health law. His clients have included companies operating in manufacturing, technology and construction industries, along with medical, dental and engineering professions.
Mr. Weber is a member of the State Bar of Michigan where he serves as a member of the Business Law and Health Care Law Sections, and as a member of a State Bar Discipline Committee, where he has served as Chairman for over 25 years. He is a fellow of the Michigan State Bar Foundation. Mr. Weber is also a member of the American Bar Association, the Oakland County Bar Association and the Detroit Bar Association. He is a Trustee of the Michigan State Medical Society Foundation and a former Trustee of the Aquinas College Board of Trustees. He is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, Association of the Defense Trial Counsel, Michigan Defense Trial Counsel, the American Society of Medical Association Counsel and an Honorary Member of the Michigan Dental Association. Mr. Weber has authored numerous legal publications, including regular columns in Michigan Medicine entitled Ask Our Lawyer, and the Michigan Dental Association Journal entitled Dentistry and the Law, the primary publications for the Michigan State Medical Society and the Michigan Dental Association, for whom he has served as General Counsel for numerous years.
Mr. Weber received his juris doctor with distinction in 1963 from Wayne State University Law School where he served as Senior Editor of The Wayne Law Review and was the recipient of multiple scholarships and the Moot Court Award. He received his undergraduate degree from Aquinas College in 1960. |
