Richard C. Prosser was born in Sterling, Illinois. Although regularly handling all types of bankruptcy matters, Mr. Prosser has been particularly active in the litigation of contested matters and adversary proceedings in bankruptcy court. He was admitted to the bar in Florida and the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida in 1982, as well as the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Tenth and Eleventh Circuits. He is a graduate of Arizona State University, BS summa cum laude 1976, and Mercer University, JD 1981. He served as law clerk to the Honorable Alexander L. Paskay, Chief Bankruptcy Judge of the Middle District of Florida, 1981-1982. He is listed in "The Best Lawyers in America." He was a founder and has served as director, president and chairman of the Tampa Bay Bankruptcy Bar Association. During 1998 and 1999, he served as the Bankruptcy Committee Chair for the Federal Bar Association, Tampa Bay Chapter. He is also a member of the American Bar Association, Litigation Section, and the American Bankruptcy Institute. He headed the firm's representation in numerous cases, including Wm. G.
