Richard Caine practices in the areas of real estate and commercial transactions, finance, and general business, corporate and partnership law. Mr. Caine's practice emphasizes the representation of buyers, sellers, investors and developers in a variety of areas, including business and real estate dispositions, acquisitions and other transactions; the formation and counseling of limited liability companies, partnerships and corporations; and the representation of financial institutions, private lenders and borrowers in the origination and workout of commercial and real estate loans, and commercial real estate leasing. Prior to joining Stein & Lubin in 1987, Mr. Caine practiced, beginning in 1981, with Landels, Ripley & Diamond in San Francisco. He is past Chair of the Partnerships and Limited Liability Companies Committee of the California State Bar Business Law Section and was the Reporter for that Committee's Report on Legal Opinions Concerning Limited Liability Companies. Mr. Caine graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1977 where he majored in history and was elected Phi Beta Kappa. He earned his law degree, cum laude, from Harvard Law School in 1981. |
