Rick has worked with many types of businesses in all stages of growth, and has assisted them with all manners of business accounting and tax issues. He has assisted clients with Federal and State tax requirements and has advised management in ways to increase profitability and thereby increase the value of their business. Rick proactively seeks solutions to a small business owner's challenges. He is a key member of the firm's Health Care Services Group, serving more than 30 medical organizations. Rick's not-for-profit tax experience includes the creation of tax-exempt entities, termination of tax exempt entities, for profit subsidiaries, unrelated business income, private foundations and excise taxes, public support testing, planning for tax-exempt, sales tax exemption, state bureau of charitable organizations and as a speaker at tax-exempt conferences.
