Rich Upton founded Upton Advisors as a resource for companies that are underserved by traditional Wall Street investment banks. Rich has been advising corporations since 1992 and has completed engagements representing aggregate transaction values in excess of $5 billion. Prior to starting an advisory firm, Rich was a senior investment banker for Salomon Brothers (now part of Citigroup) and for Bear, Stearns & Co. in New York City. Prior to attending graduate school, he helped found Exeter Ventures Partnership where he managed various real estate investments. Rich has served on the Board of Directors of five companies, served as a Chairman & CEO and helped start four companies. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees for The Pine Hill Waldorf School. Rich received his MBA degree from The Darden School at the University of Virginia and BA degrees in Economics and English from Amherst College. |
