Practice
Mr. Díez, who joined the Firm in 1978, is a partner in the International Corporate Department and a founding partner of Curtis Mexico. After working in New York for nearly 18 years, he has been based in the Firm’s Houston office since 1995. His project finance experience includes work in refinery upgrades and expansion projects and build, lease and transfer projects involving geothermic power plants, transmission lines and substations.
Before joining the Firm, Mr. Díez was an associate with the Mexican law firm of Santamarina & Steta, where he worked on matters involving financings, corporate and tax law, foreign investments, transfer of technology and international transactions. Mr. Díez has written several articles in Mexican and international publications on legal and financial topics.
Mr. Díez is admitted to practice in Mexico, in the State of New York and in Texas as a Foreign Legal Consultant.
