Mr. Hackman is a pioneer in the financing of the communications industry and has executed numerous transactions for emerging and incumbent communication providers since 1984. He has over 20 years of experience originating and closing mergers, acquisitions and financings valued at several billion dollars involving numerous companies such as France Telecom, Pacific Telesis, Bell Atlantic, Time Warner, Nortel and MFS Communications. Mr. Hackman began his investment banking career at Kidder, Peabody in 1981, where he held senior investment banking positions in the energy, technology and telecommunications sectors including Co-head of the Telecommunications Group. In 1991, he founded Hackman, Baring & Co., a boutique investment banking firm specializing in the Communications industry. In 1997, Mr. Hackman sold Hackman, Baring to PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he became Co-head of the Communications and Media Investment Banking Group. Mr. Hackman holds a B.S. degree from the United States Naval Academy and an M.B.A. from Cornell University. |
