Dr. Revati Shreeniwas joined Alvine Pharmaceuticals as Vice President, Clinical Research and Development in July of 2007. Dr. Shreeniwas has over twenty years of academic and drug development experience and has held positions of increasing responsibility at CV Therapeutics, Actelion Inc, and Scios, a subsidiary of Johnson and Johnson as well as running a successful consulting practice advising pharmaceutical companies on drug, biologics and device development strategy, commercialization and life cycle management, pharmacovigilance and the conduct of global clinical trials. She has held academic appointments as Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at The College of Physicians and Surgeons at Columbia University and Associate Clinical Professor at Stanford University. She has coauthored over 30 scientific publications, has several years of experience in clinical practice and has been a principal investigator for pharmaceutical industry sponsored studies. She serves on the continuing medical education advisory board for Gene Ed (an elearning company). Dr. Shreeniwas graduated from the Armed Forces Medical College (India), and trained at University of Massachusetts Medical Center (Worcester) in Internal Medicine, and specialized in Pulmonary Diseases and Critical Care at Columbia University (New York), where she was the recipient of the J Burns Amberson Pulmonary fellowship as well as an NIH award. |
