Taylor joined the newsroom as a reporter in the summer of 2006. She has a varied background in print, radio and television news. Taylor began her career writing for daily newspapers in Texas and California, where she specialized as a legal affairs correspondent. Her most memorable stories involve the people she met covering courts -- everyday people in extraordinary situations. She was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize for her work covering methamphetamine and the environment. Taylor earned her bachelor's degree in journalism from Baylor University. She graduated with honors from law school at the University of the Pacific, where she served on Law Review. While attending law school, she reported for major news talk stations in Sacramento and San Francisco. Most recently, Taylor lectured at Baylor University, where she instructed journalism students in the fundamentals of writing, research and First Amendment law. |
