Rebecca Sykes was named senior vice president and chief information officer of CHP in 1999 after serving as director, Corporate Information Services, CHP, since 1997.
Ms. Sykes' responsibilities include developing and directing systems to identify, collect, analyze and report clinical and financial information; ensuring information is accessible throughout CHP using decision support and data warehousing; managing strategic planning for and integration of information services, telecommunications and office automation; ensuring overall security and efficiency of information management services; and consulting with CHP affiliates in the systematic review, acquisition and implementation of new information technologies.
Prior to joining CHP, Ms. Sykes was director of Information Systems for TriHealth/Medicus in Cincinnati, where she was responsible for managing the customer consulting, information systems planning, clinical automation and decision support teams for TriHealth information systems. She also was responsible for the information technology governance structure, customer relationship management and project management for all major information systems projects. Previously, Ms. Sykes was corporate manager of Health Information/Medical Records at Bethesda Hospital, Inc. in Cincinnati, where she also served as director of Medical Records.
Ms. Sykes holds a bachelor's degree in administrative management from the University of Cincinnati and a master's in business administration from Xavier University. She is a graduate of the inaugural class (2003) of CHP's Leadership Academy. |
