Rebecca Hanson specializes in commercial litigation and bankruptcy litigation involving contract disputes, business torts and fraud claims. She represents both plaintiffs and defendants in state and federal actions.
As an associate, Ms. Hanson has worked on multi-state business disputes, contract litigation, non-competition covenants, premises liability and international multi-million dollar lawsuits. Prior to joining Shaw Gussis, Ms. Hanson was an associate at a firm specializing in civil litigation and insurance defense. During her service with that firm, she first-chaired over sixty jury trials. She also worked as an independent contractor for a high profile Chicago law firm as an employment harassment and discrimination consultant.
Ms. Hanson was a member of the Chicago-Kent Law Review and the Moot Court Honor Society. She was also elected to the Order of the Coif, a national honor society for scholastic achievement in law. Ms. Hanson also served as a teaching assistant to Chicago-Kent’s writing program.
