Raymund Breu is CFO of Novartis AG and a member of the Executive Committee of Novartis, positions he assumed when Novartis was created in 1996. In 1975 Raymund Breu joined the Group Treasury of Sandoz, a
predecessor company of Novartis, and in 1982 became Head of Finance for the affiliated companies in the United Kingdom. In 1985 he was appointed CFO of Sandoz Corporation in New York, where he was responsible for all Sandoz finance activities in the US. In 1990 he became Group Treasurer of Sandoz Ltd., and in 1993 he was named Head of Group Finance and a member of the Sandoz Executive Board.
He graduated from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich with a Ph.D. in Mathematics. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Swiss Re and the Swiss takeover commission. |
