Raymond J. McGuire is Managing Director and Co-Head of Global Investment Banking for Corporate and Investment Banking at Citigroup Inc. He has executed a broad range of domestic and international strategic advisory transactions including takeover defense merger restructuring and acquisition and divestiture mandates.
Prior to joining Citigroup Mr. McGuire was the Global Co-Head of Mergers & Acquisitions at Morgan Stanley; Managing Director in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group of Merrill Lynch & Co. Inc.; and one of the original members of Wasserstein Perella & Co. Inc. where he became a Partner/Managing Director in 1991. He started his investment banking career in 1984 in the Mergers an Acquisitions Group of The First Boston Corporation. Prior to that time he held positions at the law firms of Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom as well as Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler.
Presently Mr. McGuire serves on the boards of directors/trustees of various non-profit organizations including De La Salle Academy of which he is Chairman of the Board the International Center of Photography where he is a member of the Executive Committee and formerly President of the Board Lincoln Center New York-Presbyterian Hospital The New York Public Library the Studio Museum in Harlem of which he is Chairman of the Board the Alex Hillman Family Foundation and Whitney Museum of American Art where he serves as Vice Chairman and Investment Committee Chairman. He has also served on various committees at Harvard University most recently as a member of the Overseers/Directors Nominating Committee.
Mr. McGuire received his M.B.A. and J.D. from Harvard Business School and Harvard Law School in 1984 and an A.B. cum laude from Harvard College in 1979. |
