J. Raymond Elliott became a Director in August 2007. Mr. Elliott is the Chairman of Zimmer Holdings Inc. and was President and Chief Executive Officer of Zimmer Holdings Inc. from March 20 2001 to May 1 2007. Mr. Elliott was appointed President of Zimmer Inc. in November 1997. Mr. Elliott has more than 35 years of experience in orthopedics medical devices and consumer products. He has served as a director on more than 20 business-related boards in the U.S. Canada Japan and Europe and has served on six occasions as Chairman. He has served as a member of the board of directors and chair of the orthopedic sector of the Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed) and is currently a director of the Indiana Chamber of Commerce and the American Swiss Foundation. Mr. Elliott has served as the Indiana representative on the President's State Scholars Program and as a trustee of the Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation (OREF). He holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Western Ontario Canada. |
