Mr. Weber joined USMR in April of 2005, after retiring from Bath Iron Works Corporation (BIW), a General Dynamics company, where, from 1991 until his retirement in 2004, he served as Director of Fleet Service and Manager of all BIW’s Navy Homeport Operational Facilities. Before joining Bath Iron Works, Ray served for 24 years in the U.S. Navy, retiring as a Lieutenant Commander. During his career, he has been heavily involved with the AEGIS ship program; particularly DDG 51 Class ships. His AEGIS experience and excellent professional relationships with the Navy and the AEGIS building yards provide tremendous support for USMR’s efforts to become the Navy’s First Choice for AEGIS ship repair, maintenance and modernization. Ray is a member of the American Society of Naval Engineers and a past Chairman of the Tidewater Section. He is currently an Executive Board Member and Section Counselor for the organization. He is also a member of the Surface Navy Association, Naval Institute and the Navy League. |
