Ravi Gopalakrishnan is Vice President of Engineering at Azingo. A 15 year veteran of the wireless industry, Gopalakrishnan brings strong relationships with leading carriers, handset vendors and software suppliers in addition to significant expertise in multimedia mobile platforms for mid and high-end handsets. He joins Azingo from Motorola, where he was director of Mobile Devices for Motorola Japan with responsibility for leading the requirements, carrier compliance, development and delivery of the MOTORAZR FOMA product to NTT DoCoMo. Prior to this position, Gopalakrishnan held a variety of engineering management positions at Motorola where he led large global teams on software development, product integration and handset acceptance to carriers all over the world. He has successfully led the architecture, development and commercial deployment of key technologies like GPRS, UMTS, HSDPA on Motorola's mobile devices with carriers worldwide. He is well respected in the mobile community for his track record of delivering on key technologies in the mobile industry. He holds a master of science degree in Physics from IIT Kanpur, a master of science degree in Computer Engineering from IISc in Bangalore and a masters of business administration from Chicago. |
