Rashaan Curry enters his first season with the Cardinals as a pro scout after joining the team in July, 2006. Curry joins the Cardinals after spending the last six seasons in the scouting department of the Philadelphia Eagles.
Curry joined the Eagles in 2001 as the team’s college scouting administrator and was named a full-time college scout in 2002 where he was responsible for scouting the southeast region of the country for Philadelphia.
The 29-year old Atlanta, GA native got his start in scouting as an intern in the National Football League office, first in the player personnel department under Joel Bussert in 2000 and then with the NFL Europe operations department in the spring of 2001 at the league’s training camp in Tampa, FL. He also served as an educator in Atlanta.
Curry graduated from Columbia University with a degree in African-American studies. He was a four-year letterman as a defensive end at Columbia. As a senior in 1999, he earned all-conference honors and was voted as the team’s MVP.
Born on January 21, 1977, Curry was also the valedictorian of his graduating class at Archer High School in Atlanta. |
