Randy was named president of Crest in the 80s, after starting in the company’s Buy-Out Department in 1974. He describes his role this way: Putting together the pieces of what may seem like a complex challenge, always with the goal of creating something better. I like to get advice from people smarter than I am, build teams, choose champions, and quietly celebrate the victories along the way. Randy’s most recent accomplishment is the selection of Reliance Steel as Crest’s parent company, including all that this choice implies in terms of the long-term health of this ‘family’ business. Born in Santa Rosa, Randy lived in Palos Verdes most of his youth, and has been a resident of Manhattan Beach, CA since 1974. Randy has four grown children, has been married for 33 years, and has one dog. He loves sports, especially wilderness powder skiing, golf, and all types of exercise. The best part of his job? Being a part of the lives of so many of my colleagues and helping each other through good times and tough times. |
