Randall C. "Randy" Kostroske joined Crescent Real Estate Equities in September 1997, and currently serves as vice president, internal audit and risk management. Mr. Kostroske is responsible for the creation, management and oversight of the company's Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) initiative. This includes the development of a SOX compliance monitoring and internal audit function that will include communication with Crescent's Board of Trust Managers' Audit Committee. He continues to be responsible for oversight and management of all aspects of risk management and insurance for the company. He is also responsible for the establishment and implementation of certain comprehensive company policies and procedures specific to compliance, loss prevention, safety and other workplace issues.
Prior to joining Crescent, Mr. Kostroske served as the director of risk management at Color Tile, Inc., beginning in February 1994. While with Color Tile, he managed all risk management and insurance matters for nearly 750 retail locations. His responsibilities were expanded to include his creation, development and oversight of an internal audit function during bankruptcy proceedings affecting Color Tile. Prior to joining Color Tile, Mr. Kostroske served as risk manager at Tandy Corporation from 1988 to 1994 after serving as an internal auditor for Tandy from 1987 to 1988. Mr. Kostroske also served as an internal auditor for Hospital Corporation of America from 1985 to 1987.
Mr. Kostroske received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from Southern Illinois University and is a Certified Public Accountant. He is a member of the Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS), American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA). |
