Francisco Navarro heads Equant's Sales and Marketing organization in Latin America and the Caribbean. In this role he is responsible for all activities in the region and oversees the provision of the company's full portfolio of IP and data services to large multinational customers throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. Equant is a key provider of advanced telecommunication solutions to major regional and national companies (multilatinas) governments and multinational customers throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.
Navarro leads Equant's more than 660 employees in the region's 14 offices.
Prior to his current position Navarro was Global One vice president and general manager for Latin America and the Caribbean beginning October 2000.
Francisco joined Sprint International the predecessor of Global One in 1995 as the country manager for Colombia. He later became Global One cluster manager for the Andino and Caribbean countries. During this period he was responsible for establishing offices and launching direct operations in Venezuela and Peru.
Before joining Global One Francisco. Navarro had a leading role in the telecommunications industry in Colombia. He was president of Telecom Colombia general manager of Empresas Publicas de Pereira and a member of the board for several local and cellular companies.
He holds a Management Engineering degree from Colombia's Escuela de Minas and a master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Georgia. |
