Rance Hale brings more than two decades of semiconductor and test industry experience to the role of directing Credence’s multinational manufacturing operations. He is chartered with management of the company’s materials and build plan, quality programs, and outsourcing strategy. Before joining Credence in April 2006, Rance served as VP of Operations, Films and Surface Technology at KLA-Tencor Corp. responsible for the manufacture of 17 semiconductor products where he managed the Materials, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Installation teams.
Prior to that, Hale fulfilled a succession of senior management positions within KLA including Sr. Director of NPI Operations, Wafer Inspection Group (WIG), spearheading the manufacture and introduction of new products accounting for 60% of the company’s shipment revenues; Director of Operations, SEMSpec - Electron Microscope overseeing design assessment, manufacture and operations; and Sr. Manufacturing/Customer Acceptance (CA) Mgr, Wafer Inspection. Previous to KLA, Rance Hale’s industry tenure began at Xicor, Incorporated where he held several operations management positions focused on wafer fab and final test. During his career, Rance built and managed very large organizations and annual budgets exceeding $100M. He holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Arizona.
