Dr. Vij, who completed her residency at Montefiore Hospital and Medical Center (Bronx, NY), received her board certification in physical medicine and rehabilitation in 1979. In addition, she became board certified in electrodiagnostic medicine.
Prior to joining Kessler in 1982, Dr. Vij was associated with St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center (Paterson, NJ) and St. Luke's/Roosevelt Hospital (New York, NY). She was also a clinical associate in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Columbia University's College of Physicians and Surgeons (New York, NY).
Dr. Vij, who first served as a staff physiatrist, was named the Clinical Chief of Outpatient Services for Kessler Institute's East Orange facility in 1989. She specializes in orthopedic, musculoskeletal, and amputee rehabilitation and in electrodiagnostic medicine.
She has lectured on a number of subjects, including muscle physiology and electromyography perspectives for the arm, elbow, neck, back, and hip, and conducts research in the area of electrodiagnostics. |
