Ralph V. Roberts was named senior vice president of marketing for Worthington Industries in January of 2001. Roberts is responsible for international business development and coordination marketing strategy development and oversight of all joint ventures.
Roberts joined Worthington in 1973 as a sales trainee and worked in various sales capacities through 1979 when he was appointed vice president sales for the Chicago Steel Division. Roberts has held various positions at Worthington including vice president - sales for the Columbus Steel Division vice president and general manager of the Chicago Steel Division and executive vice president of Worthington's National Rolling Mills subsidiary in Malvern Pennsylvania.
He was named CEO of WAVE a Worthington joint venture with Armstrong World Industries in 1992 and appointed vice president corporate development for Worthington Industries in 1997 where he was responsible for the company's strategic planning merger and acquisition activities. In June of 1998 he was named group president of Worthington Steel Worthington Industries' largest subsidiary.
Roberts serves on the boards of WAVE TWB and Spartan for Worthington Industries.
Roberts is a Columbus Ohio native and graduated from The Ohio State University.
He and his wife Lynn have three children.
