Ralph D. Crosby, Jr. is Chairman and CEO of EADS North America and a member of the EADS Executive Committee. He assumed leadership of EADS' North American activities and his seat on the Executive Committee of EADS on September 1, 2002. Crosby is responsible for EADS activities in the United States, developing strategic partnerships with U.S. companies, and enhancing the involvement of EADS in the U.S. marketplace.
Previously, Crosby was President of the Integrated Systems Sector of Northrop Grumman Corporation, a position he held since establishing the Sector in 1998. Prior to that role, Crosby was Corporate Vice President and General Manager of the company's Commercial Aircraft Division and Corporate Vice President and General Manager of the B-2 Division.
Joining Northrop Grumman in 1981 as Special Assistant to the Senior Vice President for Marketing and Technology, Crosby was named Executive Director of the company's Washington Office in 1983. From there, he held numerous positions within Northrop Grumman. In April 1996, Crosby became the Deputy General Manager of the Commercial Aircraft Division and was named General Manager in September 1996.
Prior to his industry career, Crosby served as an officer in the U.S. Army with duty in Germany, Vietnam and the United States. In his last military assignment he was the Military Staff Assistant to the Vice President of the United States.
Crosby was born in Greenville, South Carolina. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Military Academy, a Master's degree in International Relations in 1976 from the Graduate Institute of International Studies in Geneva, Switzerland and a Master's degree in Public Administration in 1977 from Harvard University. |
