Raffaele, a medical admiral of the Italian navy, represents Italy on NATO’s Committee for Medical Emergencies. A professor of clinical and hyperbaric medicine, he is president of the International Academy of the Sea Sciences and the International Society of Hyperbaric Medicine. Raffaele has earned international recognition for his work, including a Legion of Honor award from France. He is a knight of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta and the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St. George. Raffaele has been a Rotarian since 1968 and is a past district governor and a Paul Harris Fellow. He has received the RI Service Above Self Award as well as The Rotary Foundation’s Citation for Meritorious Service and its Distinguished Service Award. |
