Rachid Sijelmassi co-founded Optinuity in June 2004 and currently serves as Vice President Engineering and Chief Technology Officer. In his role as CTO, Sijelmassi is responsible for the strategic direction of the company's products. As such, he works closely with industry influencers, customers, and the development team to ensure that the company's technology aligns with the evolving needs of operations support personnel. Sijelmassi is responsible for setting the technological vision of the company, and he oversees long-term research and development efforts.
Prior to joining Optinuity, Sijelmassi co-founded Computer Communications Consulting Inc. (3C), a consulting firm in Northern Virginia. Sijelmassi led the design, development, and evolution of 3C's line of products for the management of IT operations. As an independent consultant, he has been instrumental in a number of projects that involved designing and developing communication software and distributed applications for customers such as the Defense Information System Agency, NIST, Freddie Mac, and the World Bank (IFC).
Before founding 3C, Sijelmassi held a similar position at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), where he contributed to the design of protocols and the development of prototypes of proposed OSI network standards, EDI tools, and convergence protocols between OSI and TCP/IP.
Sijelmassi holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science and Ph.D. in Computer Sciences from the University of Bordeaux, France. |
