Rachael Berman is an Associate in the Los Angeles office Commercial Litigation Group. Ms. Berman represents financial institutions, mortgage banking institutions and corporate clients in class action litigation, unfair competition and Business & Professions Code Section 17200 actions, complex real estate fraud matters, and disputes involving alleged violations of the Federal Truth in Lending Act and the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act. Her practice also includes actions involving commercial and residential lease disputes, professional negligence, wrongful foreclosure, creditors' rights, bankruptcy law, provisional remedies, post-judgment enforcement and general commercial law.
Ms. Berman received her undergraduate degree, Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude, in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles, in 1990. She received her J.D. from Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco in 1994. While in law school, Ms. Berman served as a member of the Hastings Communications and Entertainment Law Journal.
She is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the California Receiver's Forum, and the Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles. Ms. Berman also speaks frequently on issues affecting mortgage banking and creditors' rights.
