Mr. Johnson is the President and founder of Johnson Martin Advisors, Inc., a Beverly Hills-based investment management firm servicing high net worth clients, with approximately $400 million under management. Prior to forming this firm in 1992, Mr. Johnson was Vice-President, Finance, of KB Home (NYSE) in Los Angeles in 1990/91. From 1987 until 1990 he was Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer of The O’Connor Group in New York City (a partnership that controlled approximately $1.5 billion in commercial real estate). From 1980 to 1987 he held various positions at Los Angeles-headquartered Santa Fe International Corporation (a $3.5 billion asset privately held diversified energy company) culminating in his role as Sr. Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Prior to 1980 Mr. Johnson worked for Occidental Petroleum Corporation (Corporate Manager of Financial Planning, Energy Operations) and The Harris Bank in Chicago in the Corporate Finance Consulting Group. In addition to his extensive investment management experience, Mr. Johnson has successfully managed financial organizations in a diversity of businesses and has structured and closed over $3 billion of financings during his 32-year business career. He graduated with an A.B. from Princeton University (cum laude) in 1972 and received his MBA from The University of Chicago in 1976 where he was honored with The Wall Street Journal Award for Excellence in Finance. He serves on the investment committees for the California Community Foundation and the UCLA Foundation. |
