Mr. Smith is a litigation associate at Carrington Coleman. He practices primarily in the area of complex commercial litigation at both the trial and appellate levels. He has been named by Texas Monthly magazine as a Rising Star for 2007. Mr. Smith graduated from the University of Arkansas, receiving a B.A. degree in philosophy. He completed four years of graduate studies as a doctoral candidate in philosophy at MIT, concentrating in logic, philosophy of mathematics and science, and analytical metaphysics. He received his legal education at the University of Texas, earning his J.D., with honors, in 1999. At U.T., he was a member of the Texas Law Review and Order of the Coif. Mr. Smith served as a law clerk to the Honorable Samuel B. Kent, United States District Judge, Southern District of Texas, from 1999-2000. Mr. Smith was admitted to practice in Texas in 1999. |
