Dr. Piotr Noakowski is the Office Director of Exponent's FaAA Düsseldorf Germany Office Industrial Structures Practice Director for the Company and a Professor at the University of Dortmund. He has also been a Visiting Professor at Stanford University and at the University of Colorado. Dr. Noakowski has held positions as a Scholar of the German Research Association; Head of the Research and Development Division at Karrena; Researcher at the Technical University of Munich Department of Concrete Structures; Design Engineer with Strabag Bau AG Cologne; and Assistant Plant Director of Siporex GmbH Duisburg. Dr. Noakowski is a world-renowned expert in industrial structures particularly in refractories industrial stacks water storage tanks and cooling towers. His works on cracking of concrete structures and stiffness oriented design have been widely published and are basis for numerous regulations and standards. |
