Pierre Teissier, Ph.D., Vice President Market Development, has an extensive background in the food and nutrition industries, with a focus on research, design and development of food and nutraceutical products, applications for improving food quality, packaging technology to extend shelf life, and an expertise in flavor/texture technology. Dr. Teissier served as Professor at the CFA Professional School in Nice Carros, France and holds several U.S. patents and pending U.S. patent applications. Teissier is a member of the Institute of Food Technologists and a Medal Winner of the French Board of Patisserie and Confectionery, Nice, France, as well as a multiple Award Winner from the International Artistic Food Shows, 1979, 1980 and 1981, Nice, France. Teissier earned a B.S. in 1978 at College Stanislas, Nice, France. He also earned a C.A.P., Professional Culinary Degree in Pastry, Chocolate Handling and Confectionery in 1980 at Academie de Nice, France. Dr. Teissier obtained his Ph.D. in Sciences Humaines & Nutrition at Academie des Sciences, Nice, France in 1986.
