Phillip S. Estes, Managing Member. Prior to founding Horizon Holdings, Phil was a Vice President in the Corporate Finance Department at Drexel Burnham Lambert; where he worked on the acquisitions of private and public companies in the grocery, manufacturing, petroleum refining, retail, distribution and textile businesses. At Drexel, Phil specialized in helping clients acquire companies with values between $5 million and $80 million and was responsible for formulating acquisition strategies, identifying potential candidates, negotiating terms and structuring and obtaining financing. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, an MS from Stanford University and a BS from the University of Oklahoma. Phil serves as Co-Chairman of the Board of each of Horizon’s portfolio companies. Phil’s outside activities include his role as President of the Harvard Business School Association of Northern California and his role as Chairman of the Board of Larkin Street Youth Center, a non profit agency that seeks to help homeless and runaway youth exit street life. |
