Fritz is a fourth generation Seattle native and a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Fritz started his investment career in 1964 as a founding partner in Herron Northwest, Inc. After a merger with Jaffray & Hopwood in 1972, Fritz managed the Seattle office until 1979 when he purchased First Washington Corporation from its founder, John J. Harris.
Fritz has been President of the Seattle Financial Analysts Society, the Seattle Security Traders, and the Seattle Bond Club. He also has served as a member of the National Association of Securities Dealers District Committee.
