Philippe Charlès has been serving as DELMIA’s Chief Executive Officer since June 1, 2000.
Prior to joining DELMIA, he spent 17 years at the Schneider Group, a worldwide leader in electrical distribution, industrial control and automation. At the Schneider Group, he was most recently in charge of marketing and development of the company’s worldwide motor control business portfolio for which he defined the overall strategic plan and managed its implementation in various countries. Charlès spent three of his years at the Schneider Group leading the research and development of new worldwide product lines in automation and industrial control.
On the manufacturing side, Charlès led a European R&D project in automotive robotics assembly applications during three years involving a European consortium including OEMs and suppliers. He then spent five years as the head of a Schneider subsidiary specialized in designing and setting up production assembly lines for the E&E and automotive industries.
Charlès holds an engineering diploma in automation and control engineering and a doctorate of engineering diploma in robotics and control engineering from GRENOBLE (France).
