Born in France, Dr. Philippe Calais came to Canada in 2000. Since 1985, Dr. Calais has developed a broad expertise in the ethical pharmaceutical industry. For eight years he held different responsibilities in clinical research, from Clinical Research Associate for ICI Pharmaceuticals in France and in the United Kingdom, to R&D International Coordination Manager for Hoffmann-La Roche in Switzerland and in the U.S.A.
Since 1994, he has also developed his business expertise, building an impressive track-record in Sales and Product Management, as Head of Business Unit, Global Strategic Marketing for Hoffmann-La Roche, in Switzerland and the U.S.A. Prior to joining Neurochem as President, Dr. Calais was General Manager at Servier Canada.
Dr. Calais received his Doctorate in Pharmacy with Honors from the Université François Rabelais in Tours, France, in 1987. |
