Philip Torbøl is a partner in the Brussels office of the international law firm of McDermott Will & Emery/Stanbrook LLP. He joined McDermott in 2005 together with his colleagues from Stanbrook & Hooper and is now a member of the Firm's EU Regulatory practice and European Competition and Trade groups. His practice focuses on EU (and Danish) Competition law, State aid and EU aviation law. Philip has extensive experience advising clients in matters related to abuse of dominant position. He also has substantial experience representing clients in regulatory and legislative processes before the European Commission and the European Parliament.
Before joining Stanbrook & Hooper, Philip worked in the Copenhagen office of pan-Nordic law firm MAQS. He originally started his career as a press officer and a political assistant in the European Parliament in Brussels and during his studies was an Executive Committee Member of the European Commission's Youth Forum.
Philip is a member of the Lawyers' Society of Denmark and a member of the Brussels Bar.
