40-year veteran of global consumer marketing Philip Marineau served as President and CEO of Levi Strauss & Co from 1999 to 2006. Marineau’s prestigious career in consumer branding and marketing also includes that of president and chief executive officer of Pepsi-Cola North America and as president and chief operating officer of Dean Foods Company. Prior to Dean Foods Mr. Marineau was president and chief operating officer of Quaker Oats Company where during his 23-year career he held progressively influential positions culminating with worldwide responsibility for the company and its brands including Gatorade which he is credited with growing to over a $1 billion dollar global powerhouse.
Mr. Marineau currently Chairs the audit committee for Meredith Corporation and serves on its compensation committee. He also holds board positions with Kaiser Permanente the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy the Holy Family Day Home and the American Institute of Public Service. Mr. Marineau is also on the advisory boards of Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and the Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial Fund.
