Philip Ayers became Magellan's corporate counsel in April 2005. Mr. Ayers has more than 30 years of experience practicing corporate law, including serving as vice president and assistant general counsel of EG&G, Inc., vice president and general counsel of PerkinElmer’s Instrument business, and acting general counsel of PerkinElmer, Inc. Mr. Ayers has participated in more than 15 acquisitions and divestitures, totaling approximately $1 billion, including the $425 million asset acquisition and integration of PerkinElmer’s analytical instrument division with operations in more than 40 countries. Mr. Ayers holds a BS degree in mechanical engineering from Northeastern University and a law degree from Northeastern University School of Law. |
