Philip Wolman is a Shareholder in the Los Angeles office and Chair of the Firm's Tax Practice Group. He has handled tax matters in a wide variety of subjects including corporate and partnership tax planning, domestic and international business transactions, executive compensation and employee benefit plan matters, estate planning, business acquisitions and dispositions, equipment leasing and tax controversies.
Mr. Wolman earned an A.B. in History in 1973 from the University of California, Berkeley, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He attended the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law, receiving his J.D. in 1976. He earned his LL.M. degree in Taxation in 1977 from New York University School of Law.
Mr. Wolman is a member of the American (Taxation Section, Committee on Personal Service Organizations), Los Angeles County (Taxation Section) and Beverly Hills (Committee of Taxation) Bar Associations. He is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Central District of California and the United States Tax Court.
