Phil Reedy became CITGO's treasurer in June 2004 before accepting the position of vice president of finance in June 2006. In his previous position, Reedy's responsibilities included cash management activities, debt negotiations and debt compliance reporting.
A Certified Public Accountant in Oklahoma and Texas, Reedy earned his bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Tulsa before receiving a master's in finance at the University of Miami. He began his career in the cash management department of Cities Service Company in 1981, then became manager of Cash Management for The Southland Corporation upon Southland's purchase of CITGO in 1983.
Reedy returned to CITGO in 1986 as manager of liquidity and has since served in a number of other capacities including manager of crude oil accounting, business manager for jointly owned Nelson Industrial Steam Company (NISCO), manager of crude oil acquisition and marine transportation, and business manager for the company's petrochemicals business unit. He was general manager of petrochemicals and industrial products prior to serving as treasurer. |
