Mr. Zacharias joined RatnerPrestia after working as a summer associate with the firm. He earned his J.D. from the Villanova University School of Law, where he received the J.P. Fenningham Dean's Merit Scholarship. His practice encompasses all aspects of Intellectual Property protection and enforcement. Mr. Zacharias earned his B.A. in Engineering Sciences at Harvard University. While working toward his degree he concentrated in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science within the Division of Engineering and Applied Sciences. He served as a teaching assistant for an introductory digital design laboratory course and worked closely with the professor for the course to rewrite the laboratory manual. Before deciding to enter industry, he also completed a quarter of graduate coursework at Stanford University. Prior to entering law school, Mr. Zacharias worked as a control systems engineer developing propriety software for human-machine interfaces used in government and commercial applications in a variety of control-systems settings. His design work involved the implementation of the Modbus/TCP protocol, network communications, data acquisition, data presentation, and control routines, primarily in the Delphi programming language. During law school Mr. Zacharias was a member of the Sports and Entertainment Journal and as symposium co-editor, organized a symposium on terrestrial and satellite radio. Mr. Zacharias is a member of RatnerPrestia's Electric / Computer / Business Method Group. |
