Peter Gray joined KPMG Corporate Finance in 2006. Peter serves as a Managing Director focusing on global and domestic energy of our Energy and Natural Resources Team (ENR).
Prior to joining KPMG Corporate Finance, he worked as a Director of ANZ Investment Bank, heading the firm's Mining & Metals in North America. Peter was responsible for ANZ's relationships with companies including Alcoa, Alcan, BHP Billiton, Barrick Gold Corporation, Inco Limited, Noranda Inc, Newmont Mining Company, Placer Dome, Phelps Dodge, Peabody Coal, CODELCO, Exxon-Mobil, Halliburton, Petrobras, PEMEX, Falconbridge Limited and Kinross Gold, among others. Prior to joining the Natural Resources team at ANZ, Peter served as a Vice President and was responsible for the origination of trade flows between the U.S. and Australia through the management of a portfolio of U.S.-based engineering, manufacturing, property and aerospace companies. He was also responsible for the corporate relationships maintained by ANZ on the West Coast of the United States including Boeing Limited, Weyerhauser Corporation, Fluor Corporation, Westfield Limited, Boise Cascade and Northrop Grumman Corporation.
Prior to ANZ, Peter spent seven years with National Australia Bank (NAB) in Australia and Singapore where he reached the position of Senior Manager in its Corporate Banking & Finance Division in Melbourne, Australia. In this capacity, he worked on a number of projects in the manufacturing, engineering and mining sectors. He was also responsible for client relationship management for a diverse portfolio of middle market and corporate relationships in manufacturing, natural resources and engineering/construction and has had considerable exposure in work-out and distressed asset management.
Peter holds a Post Graduate degree in banking and finance from Monash University in Victoria, Australia and a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics, Law and Accounting from the University of Wollongong in New South Wales, Australia. |
